At Blacklidge, we provide our customers with 24-hour access to the company. Customer communications may be made via phone, email or text. The overwhelming majority of correspondence is handled by the Logistics Department which subsequently makes them the Customer Service Department.

The open position is for DAY SHIFT:
7 am – 5 pm (Monday- Friday)
Additional: on-call one weekend per month

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Overall coordination of customers’ orders
  • Setup up any required transportation and/or dispatch company drivers
  • Continuous tracking of company drivers to ensure delivery/loading schedule
  • Notify customers when the order is delivered to their facility
  • Respond to and coordinate repairs for any truck breakdowns

Skills/Competency:

  • Outstanding communication skills – written, verbal and listening
  • Excellent reading comprehension, writing and computer skills
  • Ability to work closely with vendors, customers and fellow team members from every department of the company
  • Display effective time management and planning skills
  • Ability to remain composed and patient while dealing with stressful/difficult individuals
  • Ability to execute multiple on the fly decisions with composure
  • Pleasant telephone voice
  • High attention to detail and skilled at problem-solving
  • Must remove the words “I can’t” from your vocabulary

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Dispatch Experience preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Self-motivated and responsible individual with ability to manage time with minimal managerial oversight
  • Exceptional people skills
