Women in Asphalt

Last year, we were granted the opportunity to honor several women in the road construction and asphalt industry for our Women In Asphalt series.

The series featured leading figures in the business such as Melinda McGrath, Executive Director for Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) and Audrey Copeland, Ph.D., who is the Vice President for Engineering, Research & Technology for the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA). We also highlighted some of our own employees such as driver Diane Bragg, Michelle Dronet and Dominique Kelsie, who both perform Quality Assurance. Despite the differences in their job titles, all the women we interviewed shared a passion for their work and a commitment to their craft.

As a sponsor of the Women of Asphalt Council—which will host its first public event at the upcoming World of Asphalt conference—it is an opportune time to re-launch the series.

Throughout this month and next, we invite you to visit our On The Road blog as we showcase more stories of women in our industry.
